Everyone in the community and state is invited to attend

The 21st National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month

First 5K Run for Recovery and Rise for Recovery Inter-denominational Faith Service

Where:                        City Island Park, 115 East Orange Park Avenue, Daytona Beach

(Heading East International Speedway Blvd make right on South Beach St, left on East Magnolia Avenue. The specific location will be at the two pavilions inCity Island Park)

When:                          Sunday September 12^th

Florida Recovery Month’s East Coast Region is a non-profit group of volunteers collaborating to accentuatethe possibilities of substance abuse treatment.

This year a 5k Run/Walk will be held to celebrate people in recovery and those who serve them.  The event will be for prevention educators, treatment providers, clients, families, students, children, and interested individuals.

The mission for the Recovery 5k Run/Walk is to promote awareness of recoveryinitiatives and celebrate the achievements of all individuals involved in recovery.

There will be a short non-denominational prayer ceremony prior to the event followed by the 5K Run/Walk throughCity Island Park.  Participants will then return to the pavilions for healthy refreshments, light massage, chiropractic adjustment, and more.
